Strategy for UPSC 2021

Hi guys,

If you are an upsc aspirant and planning to appear for  UPSC CSE 2021

So here's an one year strategy for you

August-December

complete your booklist along with revision

January-April

Start your optional paper preparation along with mains answer writing practice

May-July

Read completely prelims oriented

Probably, the Next year exam will be in August month as this year exam has shifted to oct 4 due to corona virus

"If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail."

All exams have a common demand from students that is how they are planning?

What's their strategy and how they are approaching that exam?

If you are doing anything in your life, but without any strategy then you are ultimately stepping towards failure.

Even if you do a lot hard work, but without a strategy then also that hard work won't pay you back as you have not given a proper direction to that hard work.

So the first and foremost thing required in your upsc preparation is your strategy to approach or to crack this exam.

Because this strategy is gonna to guide you throughout your different phases in this journey.

First thing you should have a Copy of syllabus on your table This is the must thing because you should be aware of the demand the exam

What is the requirement of this exam?

and these things you will come to know only after reading the whole syllabus paper

So read the syllabus And try to understand what is the demand of this exam

After reading this syllabus paper the second thing which you should do is that plan your one year

Like how you will approach this one year of preparation because it usually takes one year of your preparation and one year of your exam. So overall you can say it is a completely two year Journey for those who are getting it in their first attempt

You should first of all build your Basics. (If you are a science or Commerce student)

For Arts student it's a little bit easy for them to read history polity and geography as they had those Subjects in their academic years

so for Science and commerce students start with your NCERTs then proceed to your standard books like laxmikant spectrum Nitin singhania anything.

But keep your booklist in a limit. Don't try to read more but instead revise more because the thing which will help you in this exam is your revision

How much you are reading is not necessary but how much you are revising your limited booklist is important as this is the demand of this exam.

Take your time even if this take entire one or two day to fix this booklist take your time built a proper booklist

Stick to them and revise and revise and revise. This is the ultimate solution which every topper will suggest you

Because the revision  is the only thing which will make you perfect in your each and every paper

Then start your preparation as you have fixed your one year strategy

All the best
